It’s time to turn up the heat! The biggest and boldest variety show in the Bay kicks out the jams with a super powered lineup featuring international legends, rising rebels, and audience fan favorites! We’re bringing on the new season with a huge celebration of underground art, and some extra special musical guests. Prepare to be awed by everything from operatic violinists, ferocious beat-boxers, and rowdy comedians, to the world renowned belly dancer Zoe Jakes from Beats Antique, queer pole performers, scorching burlesque, and dazzling lyricists!

Join us for a raucous night of uncensored circus, stand up comedy, burlesque, pole performance, freestyle rap battles, aerial, beat-boxing, slam poetry, jaw-dropping sideshow, dirty haiku bouts and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast paced night of unfiltered entertainment! Come see what the East Bay Express calls "the most consistently spectacular event Oakland has ever seen!"

The winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, the SF Chronicle calls Ruckus "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and "a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak."

Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!

Hosted by Jamie DeWolf (HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and NPR's Snap Judgment) and Wonder Dave (Mental Health Comedy Hour), with DizzyfromEarlier, Little Glitter Bomb and the beat-boxer Syzygy.
